Victims Services

The effects of crime can deeply impact our community. Victims can suffer emotionally and physically but financially as well and trying to navigate the aftermath of a crime can be overwhelming. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has a full-time Victim Advocate to assist all victims of crime on a 24- hour basis. Our Advocate works closely with Law Enforcement and Court Services to provide a variety of services to our community.

  • Assist with Filing Victim Compensation Claims
  • Address Confidentiality Program through the Office of the Attorney General
  • Court Accompaniment
  • Law Enforcement Interview Accompaniment
  • Return of Property
  • Emergency Legal Assistance (Protective Injunction Filing and Legal Referral)
